INKT

Policy

The short version

INKT has no accounts and no sign-in. Your progress is saved on your own device and nowhere else. We run no servers and hold no database about you. The only outside parties involved are Google, which delivers the optional rewarded ads, and Apple, which handles purchases.

Who is responsible

INKT is developed and published by Noa De Clercq, an independent developer based in Belgium. For anything in this policy, write to inkt.game.support@gmail.com.

This policy covers the INKT mobile game and this website. It does not cover the App Store itself, which Apple operates under its own policy.

No account, no sign-in

INKT never asks you to register, log in, or give a name, email address, phone number or date of birth. You can install the game and play it without identifying yourself in any way.

What stays on your device

The game saves the following locally, on your phone, using the device's own storage:

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. There is no cloud save. If you delete INKT, this data is deleted with it, and it cannot be recovered — including on a new device.

Advertising

INKT shows rewarded ads only, and only when you choose to watch one in exchange for ink. No ad ever interrupts a run, and declining costs you nothing but the reward.

These ads are delivered by Google AdMob. To serve and measure an ad, Google receives technical information from your device. This is the data declared on our App Store privacy label, and it may include:

None of this is linked to your identity, because INKT has no accounts and holds no name, email address or profile to link it to. Google's handling of that data is described in Google's advertising privacy notice.

On iOS, INKT does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt and does not request your Identifier for Advertisers. The game therefore does not track you across other companies' apps and websites.

Where European rules require your consent before ads may be shown, Google's consent form appears before the first ad and your choice is remembered. In regions where Google determines no consent is required, no form is shown, because there is no choice to record.

Purchases

Ink packs, premium skins and the ad-free option are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple is the seller and the payment processor. Your card details, billing address and Apple Account information go to Apple and never reach us — the game is only told whether a purchase completed, so it can unlock what you bought.

Purchases are tied to your Apple Account, not to a profile we keep, which is why Restore Purchases in the settings works on a new device. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Analytics and diagnostics

We have added no analytics or crash-reporting toolkit of our own to INKT. There is no Firebase, no Crashlytics, no product analytics service — we receive no dashboard of what you do in the game.

Google's advertising toolkit, described above, does perform its own measurement and diagnostics as part of delivering ads. That is the source of the diagnostic and performance data listed on our App Store privacy label, and it is handled under Google's policy rather than ours.

Separately, if you have allowed Apple to share diagnostics, Apple gives us aggregated statistics that cannot identify you, in the same way it does for every app on the App Store. That data comes from Apple, under Apple's own terms, and we cannot link it to a person.

Children

INKT is rated 13+ and is not designed for or directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, write to us and we will act on it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable form.

In practice there is very little for us to act on, because we hold no database: the game keeps your data on your device, and we cannot read it. For the data Google processes as part of ad delivery, exercise your rights through Google using the notice linked above. For anything else, or if you are unsure where to start, write to inkt.game.support@gmail.com and we will point you to the right place.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, the Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.

How long anything is kept

We keep nothing, because we store nothing. Data on your device lasts until you delete the game. Retention by Google and Apple is governed by their own policies.

Changes to this policy

If the game changes in a way that affects this policy — a cloud save, for instance, or a leaderboard — this page is updated before that version reaches the App Store, and the date at the top changes with it.
